Tim Horan won the Rugby World Cup twice and is one of the finest centres to ever play the game.

Tim Horan Bio

Tim Horan is widely regarded as one of the best centres to ever play the game. Known for his attacking prowess, formidable defence and playmaking ability, he is one of only a handful of players who have won the Rugby World Cup on multiple occasions. Tim Horan was inducted into the RugbyPass Hall of Fame in 2021.

Although he represented Souths and Saracens during his career, Tim Horan played his best rugby during his stint with the Queensland Reds in Super Rugby. Between 1996 and 2000, he made 119 appearances for the side and scored almost 300 points.

However, despite his glittering domestic career, Tim Horan is undoubtedly best known for his 80 appearances for Australia between 1989 and 2000. During this time, he put in a number of impressive performances for the Wallabies and he won the Rugby World Cup on two occasions (1991 and 1999).

Due to his stature in the game, Tim Horan was inducted into both the World Rugby Hall of Fame and the Australian Rugby Union Hall of Fame in 2015.

Since his retirement from rugby union after his stint at Saracens, Tim Horan has primarily worked as a newspaper columnist and broadcaster. He also works in the private sector and holds roles as a charity ambassador.
