Scotland go two from two with win over United States in WXV2

Scotland beat the United States 24-14 in Cape Town to make it two wins from two WXV2 games.
Tries from Francesca McGhie, Emma Wassell and Rhona Lloyd, plus a Helen Nelson conversion, gave Scotland a 17-0 lead after 21 minutes before the USA responded on the stroke of half-time through Charli Jacoby’s converted score.

Chloe Rollie’s try, converted by Meryl Smith, secured a bonus point for Scotland and, despite USA hooker Paige Stathopoulos powering over 14 minutes from time, Bryan Easson’s side won for the fifth successive time.

The weather was dreadful but the playing surface was great so there is no real excuse for such another poor standard of play from both sides. Dragons just the better team. But, what a shocking decision by the TMO not to award the Fifita try. This pretty much sums up Welsh rugby with poor teams and poor officials. The WRU have a lot of work to do and it needs to be done quickly to avoid rugby being lost to our future generations.
