Aviral is a Researcher for ICCT’s Electric Vehicles and Heavy-Duty Vehicles programs in India. At ICCT, he works on the evaluation of low-emission and alternate fuel pathways for heavy-duty vehicles using vehicle simulation and modelling. He also contributes to life cycle assessments for emissions of electric vehicles in India. Prior to joining ICCT, he worked on various projects on low carbon growth in the energy and transport sector for climate change mitigation with WWF-India. He has worked specifically on urban and rural transport components of the low carbon transport roadmap for India released by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). He holds a Master of Technology degree in Renewable Energy Engineering and Management from TERI School of Advanced Studies (Delhi, India) and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (Uttar Pradesh, India). On the personal front, Aviral enjoys driving, cycling, and reading.
