Harsimran Kaur is a Researcher for ICCT’s Electric Vehicles and Heavy-Duty Vehicles programs in India. At ICCT, her research focuses on evaluating the cost-effectiveness of alternative fuel technologies for heavy-duty vehicles and the feasibility of the deployment of zero-emission trucks in India. Prior to joining ICCT, Harsimran was a researcher at the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) where she focused on analysing the macroeconomic impacts of the EV transition and using high-frequency datasets to understand the challenges with bus transport in India. Harsimran holds a master’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering from TERI School of Advanced Studies (Delhi, India) and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from GGS Indraprastha University (Delhi, India). Apart from work, Harsimran spends her time reading sci-fi and solving sudoku puzzles.
